Life is Elsewhere; Dmitri, Chapter 4

“So what did you think of all that?” Kim twisted around in the swing to face me. We ended up wandering into a local playground after leaving McDonald’s.

Life is Elsewhere; Delilah, Chapter 4

After touching Finn, I felt myself blushing brightly. I had to get out of there before I started stuttering, which would make me cry of embarrassment and then I’d be even more freaked out and it would just snowball out of control. I hurriedly made my way to the bathroom after excusing myself.

Life is Elsewhere; Dmitri, Chapter 3

You could just leave, I told myself. I had been sitting in front of the house for a while, but the pounding in my head had yet to stop. It was just too loud.

Life is Elsewhere; Delilah, Chapter 3

“So, what do you want to drink?” Finn asked as we squeezed into the kitchen.

“What is there?” I asked, trying to avoid getting a glimpse of…whatever it was they were doing in that corner, or that one, or on that bench.

“Looks like all they have is beer, punch and water,” Finn turned back to me and opened a can of beer for himself, “What’ll it be?”

Life is Elsewhere; Dmitri, Chapter 2

So this was the girl Finn was falling head over heels for. Interesting. I never would’ve guessed, because, to me, this Delilah didn’t seem like Finn’s type. Despite her outfit, she gave off an air of innocence. Maybe it was the long blonde hair, maybe it was her large, green eyes. Eyes are the window to the soul right? Her soul screamed innocence. Something I didn’t think Finn would be attracted to. But hey, to each his own. And who knows, perhaps this girl could surprise me.

Life is Elsewhere; Delilah, Chapter 2

I laughed with Finn as we finished painting my room. Well, as I finished painting while he held my stuff so I could reach the ceiling. Now every part of me is on these walls. My favorite quotes here and there, a couple of things to remind me of my old home, and a lot of references to the vlogbrothers. Finn decided to pass up on the offer for me to show him their awesomeness.

After I got off the ladder, he started talking nervously.

“So,” He mumbled, “There’s this party tonight…”

Life is Elsewhere; Dmitri, Chapter 1

I leaned against the counter of the bookstore. My fingers tapped an indiscernible rhythm against the wood as my mind wandered. I broke out of my reverie when Peter called out from the other side of the store.

“Dmitri! Did you finish inventory?”

“Yes! It’s on your desk!” I yelled back, before muttering, “Where I leave it each week.”

Light laughter followed my comment as Kim, my fellow employee, approached the counter. “You know he only does that to annoy you, right?”

Life is Elsewhere; Delilah, Chapter 1

I rushed the boxes into the house, trying to clear the hallway of my mom’s clutter as quickly as I could. I love my mom, but she loves stuff too much. Don’t get me wrong, I like my things, and I have quite a few things, but all of mine have a use. I don’t have many useless figurines, and the ones I have…they’re special.

“Del,” Mom laughs, “relax. Take your time, we aren’t racing against a clock.”

I roll my eyes as she pats me on the shoulder and head back through the open apartment hallway, and straight into some guys arms.

Well, Hello!

Hello there, this is a blog written by me, (K.T.) and one of my good friends, (K.).

Recently, K. sent me an email asking if I wanted to do a collaborative story with her. Of course I said yes! We decided to make a blog of the story.

My next post is going to be the first chapter of our story. The title of our project is Life is Elsewhere.

I'm going to edit and post the next chapter now. Bye!
